Summary
Introduction:
Mental retardation effects the child educational, psychological, social ability to specifically the language and his ability to speak as usual child and most of his vocabulary are poor and hard to understand according his phonological deprive which is the main of this study .
Study Problem:
The main problem of the study that we have a remarkable decrease in the Arabian program in this field so we hardly need a training program to improve the phonological awareness and its effect on the treating speech and language
disorder for the educable mental retarded Child, to improve the child phonological awareness also treating speech and language disorder for them.
The problem of study lies in the following questions:
- To what extent will the proposed program contributes to the improvement of phonological awareness for the educable mental retarded Child?
- To what extent will it contribute to the proposed program to treating speech and language disorder for the educable mental retarded Child?
- Does the level of phonological awareness at the educable mental retarded Child differs before and after applying the program to them?
- Does the level of gaining speech and language change for educable mental retarded Child in application and follow-up after one month of the program?
Aim Of The Study:
The new study aims to achieve some goals which are:
1- A training program to improve phonological awareness to educable mental retarded child.
2- A training program to treat speech and language disorder for the educable mental retarded Child.
3- The study aims to know the effect of the training program to improve the phonological awareness and treating speech and language disorder for the educable mental retarded Child.
4- Study the level the phonological awareness at some of educable mental retarded Child.
Importance Of The Study :
This Study Deals With the importance of Constructing A training program. It’s Important For Improving phonological awareness And treat speech and language disorder for the educable mental retarded Child.
Hypotheses Of The Study :
Based on the above mentioned Importance, Aims, And Problem of The Research, In Addition To the Results of Previous Studies, The Researcher Addresses the Following Considerations in Her Study:
1- There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group at pre test and post test in favor of post test.
2- There are statistically significant difference between the average scores of the control group at pre test and post test in favor of post test.
3- There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group at post test in favor of the experimental group.
4- There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group at post test and follow up test.
Sample Of Study :
Sample group Consists Of (20) educable mental retarded Child, Their ages range between (3.6-6.3 years),taking into account the homogeneity among the members of the sample in terms of the age, IQ, gender, economic and social levels.
Tools Of Study:
The Researcher Tends To Use The Following Tools In Her Study:
1- Stanford Binet Intelligence scale-5(By Safwat Farag, 2010).
2- Economic and social levels scale for a family (By the researcher).
3- An application of case- study (By the researcher).
4- Speech disorder scale for the educable mental retarded Child (By the researcher).
5- Language disorder scale for the educable mental retarded Child (By the researcher).
6- A training program (By the researcher).
Statistical Methods:
To Verify The Validity Of Hypothesis Of The Study The
Researcher Used The Following :
- Man – Whitney Test .
- Wilcoxon Test.
- T - Test
Results Of Study :
The Results Showed The Following :-
- The Program Which Was Used In This Study Was Effective For
Improving phonological awareness and its effect on the treating speech and language Disorder Among The Individuals Of The Experimental group .
- A training program Was Distinguished By Continuous Effectiveness, Which Appeared from The Following Up Study.
