Abstract
synthesis and characterization of some doped polymers
the thesis contains three main chapters concerned with polyanthranilic acid(PAA),polyo-aminophenol(POAP) and the copolymer of polyanthranilic acid and polyo- aminophenol(PAA co-POAP).
the first chapter includes an introduction and a literature survey on pure and doped polyaniline derivatives with some transition metals.the effect of doping on the physical and spectral properities of the polymers were reported.the use pf the doped polymers as precursors for the preparation of nanosized metal oxides(specially hematite) .
the second chapter is concerned with the experamintal work.it involves the methods of preparation of the polyanthranilic acid (PAA), polyo-aminophenol(POAP) and the copolymer of anthranilic acid and o-aminophenol(PAA-co-POAP) in their blank.
the third chapter of the thesis deals with the results and discussion, which includes the data obtained and the proposed polymeric structure of the doped polymers.the effect of inclusion CoCl2,NiCl2, MnCl2,FeCl3 and Cucl2 on the spectral,thermal and optical properities of polyanthranilic acid(PAA),polyo-aminophenol(POAP) and the copolymer of anthranilic acid and o-aminophenol(PAA-co-POAP) and polyo-aminophenol(POAP).
