Abstract
In conclusion, our results indicate that exposure of nursing mothers during
lactation to DEHP or TCE can cause harmful effects on themselves and on
their lactating offspring males. These harmful effects expressed itself
through the changes in the studded parameters (body weight,
organosomatic indices, blood analysis, and histopathological changes) of
nursing mothers and that of their offspring males. On the other hand, this
study showed also that addition of honey to the drinking water or vitamin
C-injection into nursing mothers during lactation ameliorated these effects
as reflected by the noticeable enhancement in the studied parameters.
