Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate the homogenity and sealing ability of GuttaFlow as an obturating material .
In this study sixty human single rooted teeth were used to evaluate homogenity and sealing of GuttaFlow as an obturating material . All sixty teeth were decoronated and cleaned from any hard and soft tissue deposits , leaving roots with 16mm in length .
These roots were divided into three groups , group 1 (GuttaFlow with single cone ) , group 2(GuttaFlow with lateral condensation) , and group 3(AHPlus with lateral condensation) according to technique of obturation and material used.
Evaluation of homogeneity :
This was done through measuring the radio opacity of the obturating materials used and the amount of voids present.
a. Radio opacity :
CBCT used to scan all sixty samples and through its specific software the obturating materials marked and the amount of radio opacity measured in bone density unit (HU).
