Abstract

This research study aims at putting an integrated imagery of components and quantities of solid wastes in Kuwait country. This study is based on two main pillars, the first is represented in a questionnaire that was applied on 600 random samples that are distributed in the six governorates inhabitants of Kuwait country through which impact of a group of variables was studied and displayed on quantities and qualities of produced solid home wastes. These variables included a group of economical and social aspects which are: number of household members, monthly income, hence type, educational level, times of household monthly gatherings and times per week visits of co-operatives (shops of victuals and home requirements). Average of individual production of solid home wastes daily in Kuwait was measured it is found that it represents 1.43 kg/ person/day noting that average of Kuwait household members number reached 5.1 individuals and that through data and information that are concluded through questionnaire. A mathematical relationship was concluded for measuring individual’s production of home solid wastes for a group of social and economical variables that were monitored and read through the questionnaire. Regarding the second pillar of this study, it is represented in field practical research through which quantities and components of solid home wastes and rates of them in Kuwait through manual sorting of number of solid home wastes cars were identified for a year as components of solid home wastes to the following types: plastic, paper, metals, glass, wood and organic wastes.
