Abstract
, The thesis comprises three chapters. The first one is concerneq mainly with the literature survey on the structu-
ral, an~lytical chemistry and biological effects of some oxime compounds and their complexes. The second chapter is related to the experimental part Synthesis of [syn-2-picolyl ketoxime], [syn-2-quinaldyl phenyl ketoxime] and [syn-2-quinaldyl-[(p-substituted phenyl- azo)-phenyl ketoxime)) compounds containing groups with dif- ferent electronic characters (-H, p-OCH3, p-Cl and p-N02) was done. Also, the synthesis of the transition metal (Co, Ni and Cu) complexes of the first two oximes was des- cribed. The analytical data of all the organic compounds and the complexes are given. Different standardized instru- ments (uv-vis, nmr, ir, magnetic susceptibility and pH) are used.
