المستخلص

The OPEC organization plays a very important role in persevering the
benefits of countries producing and exporting petrol, also in pricing
petrol besides the effects of that role on raising the prices of petrol and
the consequences of such roles on the economy of the world.
The Internationalagreements for environmental protection affect one
way or the other fossil energy consumption in particular petrol which
then affect the demand for petrol, its petrol revenues from the OPEC
organization which is considered one of the most important
organizations for marketing petrol resources in the world Accordingly
negative effects have appeared on the members of the OPEC
organization who mainlydepend onpetrol revenuesand Consumer
countries depend on tax policies and subsidy policies which harm the
exported petrol which also adversely affect the economy of the
productive companies ; Therefore , the OPEC organization insures
offering petrol that suits the expected demands for at least the near
future maintaining in the same time suitable average prices.
There is an ongoing discussion between the biggest producers and
consumers of petrol in all their meeting about finding ways to improve
the efficiency of using petrol from one side and rationalizing its use
from another. And it has been noted that consumer countries always
avoid discussing petrol prices as it was never accepted before to discuss
the prices of crude oil without discussing the prices of petroleum
products which comprise a big portion of the economic revenue for
consumer countries, And this is represented in the difference between
the total costing of (production - transportation - refining – marketing)
and the prices ofrefined products in the ultimate consumer markets.
Saudi Arabia has taken substantial efforts in supporting its economic
sectors in order to decrease its chief dependence on petrol export
revenues.
The relationship between economic development and using natural
resources led by petrol from one side and environmental considerations
from another is a historical relationship. Economically, the most serious
environmental issues occur when the market mechanism doesn’t
perform efficiently well as in cases of pollution.
