Abstract In order to examine the behavior of tension lap splices in reinforced lightweight concrete beams and it’s influencing factors, an experimental program and analytical study have been conducted. The experimental program included testing of six beams in experimental program and in the analytical study the total tested beams are ten included the experimental tested six beams.. In this theses the research studies the effect of tension lap splices in different position with different lap splice length. The beams were tested under two equal concentrated loads applied at the mid span between two supports and at the end of cantilever, where an investigation was carried out to deflection, 1st crack load, cracking pattern, ultimate load, failure load and longitudinal reinforcement strain. |
