Abstract
While this thesis has examined healing landscape design in acute care, psychiatric, and children hospitals; there are many opportunities for extending its scope. The design guidelines presented in this thesis have addressed only the previous types; thus, healing landscape needs to be investigated in other types of single speciality hospitals and healthcare facilities like nursing homes which can generates additional guidelines. As for military hospitals, most of them have large outdoor spaces which need to be investigated. The proposed matrix can also be upgraded to adopt new recommendations generated from future researches concerning healing landscape. Regarding the scaling of the design guidelines presented in the matrix, it needs further studies to be validated with the local context.
