Abstract The objective of this thesis is to propose and validate a hybrid control system to coordinate vehicles motion at intersections. The thesis consists of seven chapters summarized as follows: Chapter one presents an introduction about the problem under study, and the organization of the thesis. Chapter two presents a survey for publications in the field of vehicles control generally, and intersections specifically, reaching problem formulation and objectives of thesis. Chapter three presents the methodology and the proposed algorithms and hybrid control system. In chapter four, modeling and simulation approaches used are discussed along with their results. Chapter five presents a detailed description of the developed experimental setup and its different modules. Chapter six discusses the experiments conducted and the experimental results. Finally, chapter seven contains conclusions and future work. |
