Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is the most common endocrine-metabolic disorder of childhood and adolescence.
Complication of type 1 diabetes mellitus such as, acute metabolic complications (hypoglycemia or DKA) or chronic diabetic complication (nephropathy, retinopathy or neuropathy)are well known, established complications that easily come to mind in assessing any diabetic patients.
Ocular complications have been reported to be associated with diabetes mellitus, many of which can lead to blindness.
Clinical studies revealed that diabetes mellitus associated with ocular surface dysfunctions and dry eye manifestations
