Abstract
This study was conducted in the apiary and laboratory of Economic
Entomology & Agricultural Zoology Department, Faculty of Agriculture,
Minoufiya University located at Shebin El-kom region. The surveys were
done at different apiaries at three localities (Shebin El-kom, Menouf, and
Berket El-
Sabaa) during 2009 and 2010 seasons. Research aimed to
recognize the occurrence of the greater wax moth, Galleria melonella in
Minoufiya governorate, and to determine the biological and toxic effects of
the tested plant formulations on G. melonella with special reference to the
histological changes in the gut of wax moth larvae.
