Abstract
The present work is devoted mainly to accomplish the following : Searching for new Microorganism (s) from different sources by isolation, screening and developing a suitable medium for extracellular red pigments production. The higher specific red pigment production obtained between these Microorganisms were selected and tested, furthermore by applying identical techniques to identify Monascus isolate along with authentic culture, following morphological, biochemical and scanning electron microscopy tests.
