Abstract
Two field experiments were conducted during each of 1972/73, 1973/74 and 1975/76 seasond to study the effect of seeding rate ,fertilization ,planting method,time of first irrigation and irrigation frequency on growth,yield,yield components and and yield quality on lentil giza 9 variety.
The first experiment consisted of 12 treatments which were the combination of 4 fertilization treatments namely ,while the second experiment included 12 treatments which were the combination of two planting methods (afir and heratic ), two treatments of time of first irrigation (after 20 days and 30 days from sowing),and three irrigation frequencies (1, 2 or 3 irrigations after the first irrigation).
The split plot design was used for the first experiment while treatments of the second experiment were arranged in split-split plot design.
