Abstract
The Present Study Was Carried Out For Studying The Protozoal Parasites Of Rabbits(GenusEimeria and Genus cryptosporidium) on Four hundred thirty rabbits of different breeds ,ages and sexes which were randomly collected from different localities in Behera province during the period from may 1995 to May
1996.
The samples were submitted to laboratory and microscopic examination as well as other techniques for detection of prorozoa.
Eight species of Eirneria were detected among the examined rabbits which were E.flavescens, E. intestinalis, E. irresidua, E. magna, E. media, E.perforans, E.piri/brmis and E.stiedae.
The morphological characters of the revealed Eimeria species has been described.
Within these species The higher frequency was recorded for E.perforans (243/430), followed by; E. media( 134/430); E.stiedae (93/43 0); and E. irresidua (84/43 0).
From 2-4 species of Eimeria were very common in the same Sample.
