Abstract The present work deals with detection, analysis, detennination and diagnosis for crack . behavior of a shaft. Stiffuess change resulting ftom crack behavior was studied, non linear differential equation are derived. A computer program was used for solving these equations. Also a computer program was used to predict the crack spectrum, time wave fonn, amplitude, run-up and coast-down and the natural ftequency for the cracked shaft. An experimental work was made to assure the theoretical results by using a test rigs. The results were discussed, theoretical analysis were compared with experimental results. A simple way for crack detection was derived and a suggestion for future work was introduced. |
