Abstract A linear theoretical study of the response of marine structures supported on piles and subjected to static vertical loads is presented. The static analysis employs single pile and pile group stiffness in different modes to produce group stiffness in vertical direction. Pile group effect is taken into consideration and responses due to static load are abtained. The employed method avoids the use of interaction factors while remains simple, efficient and facilitates the computer analysis of very larg pile group. The method presented allows for an arbitrary soil profile, layers below pile tip, pile type and configuration and pile-soil-pile interaction. |
