Abstract
Basic object is to develop the scientific objective measurement for fabric hand to be used in textile manufacture specially garment industry of the subjective measures currently used, Also to study factors alTecting fabric handle, relation between fabric handle & silhouette ofgannent mode, Also to try to predrct the end use of the fabric by the test of fabric hand. Procedure:

test method. (paired comparison).

5- Study the elTect of some technological processing factors on fabric handle (woven
fabric) namely:
1- Type of fiber (blends). 2- Count of yarn.
3- Twist factor.
4- Technology of yarn formation, (spinning technology). 5- Pick density (picks/cm).
6- Fabric structure (plan-twill-satin).
7- Finishing off.,bric (desizing-scouring-bleaching-dycing with lubricant in final linish¬printing).
6- Study thc cnccl ofproccssing technology on fabric:

7- Deducing standard values for fabric handle for dilTerent end uses of commercially
availahle fahric
Benefit:
The results of the present work will given simple objective measurements for fabric h~ndle and also study elTect of some. factqrs, on it, helping for application on garment manufactuu: to choose the best quality - for consumer, and make (Q.C) on raw materials by (S.H.F) and to select the technological parameters which provide the required fabric hand according to the end use and deducing numerical values (S.H.F) suitable for the best end use, also to deduce standard fabric hand values for different end-use
