Abstract
Various upper respiratory tract infections are among the most common diseases in childhood. Some children come to the attention of their general practitioners because of frequent upper respiratory tract infections, often complicated by recurrent OM, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Otitis media is a common infection in infancy and childhood. It has hazardous sequalae especially on hearing and language development which renders the future schooling difficult. It represents a vast health burden in most parts of the world.
