Abstract The results of this study were based on a questionnaire that was conducted at the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, University of Alexandria, Egypt. The study group consisted of 25 patients (14 females and 11 males). Their ages ranged from 7 to 85 years with a mean of 37.3 years. It comprised various pathologies such as inflammatory pathology (diffuse and localized), neoplastic pathology (benign and malignant), CSF leaks (traumatic and idiopathic) and petrous apex pathology. There were 14 primary and 11 revision surgeries. All the patients underwent endoscopic assisted surgery except for one patient who underwent an additional osteoplastic frontal sinusotomy procedure. Regarding the navigator’s preoperative 3D CT scan, the surgeons thought it was very useful for preoperative planning in 19 cases (76%). It |
