Abstract The present work aimed to provide a guide for the anatomical and systemic evaluation of caprine hock joint by means of Ultrasound imaging and computed tomography which may be a useful noninvasive means and offer a several advantages over the conventional radiography including the following:- 1-Ultrasonographic examonation yields information about the soft tissue structures of the tarsal joint (joint capsule and ligament) that have been difficult by ordinary radiography. 2-Computed tomograohy eliminates the superimposed bony structures, thereby decreasing complexity of the image ; variation gray scale formats, which can enhance observations of specific structure ; and reconstructions of multiple anatomic planes. |
