Abstract
The aim of this work was to reveal some epidemiological features of obstructed labour assisted by caesarean section, forceps and vacuum extraction in Shatby Maternity Hospital in Alexandria, and to compare between them and normal labour.To accomplish such aim the case control procedure (retrospective) was followed. All cases of obstructed labour during the period from 19 January to 19 April 1985 were interviewed. A control group was chosen from the same hospital. A specially designed schedule was used to collect the data.
