Abstract
This series and other recently reported series have shown that better results could be achieved intraocular lens implanation in pediatrics.it is mandatory to operate & visually rehabilite the child as soon as diagnosed especially in unilateral cases .the recommended target refraction should be as shown in the following table .age/year 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8>refraction *6 *5 +4 +3 +2+1plano1 one piece all pmma posterior chamber lenses with a biconvex 7 mn optic,modified c-haptics and an overall diameter of 13.5 mm is recommended .primary implanation results are better .surgery should be as atraumatic as. The more anterior the incision the further its opening in the anterior chamber from the root of the iris, and consequently the lesser the possibility of iris prolapse during surgery. This is more so with a self sealing valvular incision .
