Abstract
The objectives of the present study are to :a ) study water quality in shebin el-kom city . b ) study impacts of this water quality on the health of pre-school children .across-sactional study was carried out on all stations supplying the city.and on 270 tap water samples of households families having pre-school children (aged 1-4years) throughout the distribution system .1- determination of physical,chemical and microbiological parameters of the collected water samples from chosen sites and compared them with egyptian standerd for drinking water to evaluate the water quality of the supplying stations and along the distribution system .2- determination of changes of water quality during its conveyance from point of production and treatment to the consumer;s tap 3- dtermination ot the health compacts of any other abnormal findings in water .
