Abstract
This study was aiming at assessing the knowledge, attitude and practice of Egyptian & Libyan women at reproductive age (15 – 45 years) regarding reproductive health including: pregnancy care, fertility preferences, harmful traditional practices (FGM), and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). And the utilization pattern of family planning methods, by married women.
To achieve the above mentioned objectives, an interview of the sample was conducted in a six month duration on 465 Egyptian women from the attendants of the southern health center in Shebin El-Kom town and the female students of Menoufiya university. Also 306 Libyan women were chosen from the mother and child health center in Zawia polyclinic at Zawia town and the female students of the seventh of April university.
By assessment of the studied subject’s knowledge about, attitude towards, and practice of reproductive health component and concerns, the following facts were achieved regarding.
Also This present study aims to:
1- Assess mean of knowledge, attitude and practice of Egyptian and Libyan women at reproductive age (15 – 45 years)regarding reproductive health including: pregnancy care, fertility preferences, harmful traditional practices (FGM), and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
2- Study the utilization pattern of family planning methods by married women .
3- Put recommendations according to the results obtained.
