Abstract Cholinesterase inhibitors, the functional changes produced are mainly due to accumulation of excessive amounts of acetylcholine within the body with some direct effects on central nervous system Organophosphates and carbamates are reversible inhibitors, although this cholinesterase inhibition is reversible, the side effects would be excected to be the same as in Organophosphate in the from of :-Nicotinic effect-muscarinic effect this study deails to the effects of Organophosphate and carbamates as regards, clinical manifestations and try to select a good method in differentiation between the 2 types by evaluating the role of thin layer chromatography (t.l.c) in detection of carbamates, Organophosphate and mixture of both in gastric and blood samples in a various times of intake and different doses of the insecticides . |
