Abstract Diarrhoeal disease is a major problem for children in developing countries .In Egypt it is constitutes one of the maJor causes of morbidity and parasites play an important role in this scope as Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia,. Trichris richiura, Strongyloides. stercoralis and Cryptospoidium.Transmission of these parasitic agents may be water born or ?‘od born.Protozoan diarrhoea varies in pathogenicity from very gh as in Cryptosporidium species in which most infections are tomatic to very low as in Dientamoeaba fragilis and astocystis hominis in which symptomatic infection are very rare In this study ,117 children ranging from 7 months to 15 pars from outpatient clinic of Shebin el Kom hospital and 1aining at diarrhoea were e,camined.
