Abstract Post-knee arthroscopy pain may be sever enough to require post-operative analgesic, which may produce general side effects In the present study, we compared three groups of patients who were administered neostigmine, clonidine and morphine locally intra-articular (14) We compared these three groups with a placebo group (1A saline), We compared these groups as regard VAS to estimate the pain intensity atl, 4, 8, 24 and 48 hrs, analgesic duration till the first analgesic requirement and also, the total amount of analgesic requirements in 48 hr. postoperatively and the occurrence of any side effects as nausea, vomiting, headache, sedation, pruritis or any hacmodynamic changes. This study was carried out on 40 patients divided into 4 groups.there was no intergroup difference as regard age, weight, sex and the operative time Group A: 500-ug neostigmine in 30 ml normal saline 0.9%.
