Abstract The aim of this research was to investigate both of production and consumption of animal pro¬tein sources. With emphasis on the role of agri-cultural legislation on the problems which may faced its producing and marketing sides. In addi¬tion, to the role of agricultural policies concer¬ning the development possibilities together with ways to improve it. As a matter of fact, because of value of ani¬mal production which represented about one third of Egyptian agricultural income, particularly and including milk, meat, punltry, eggs and fish, the importance of simillar studies was always cleared. And the problem was the limited increase of per capita of animal protein as a nutrition element which was in a level less than healthy requirements, so it was found the necessity to increase the pro¬duction of these sources to the mazimume, subject to the feedstuff limitation and high price level of imports. / The study revealed a number of results that might be recommended to achieve the development of animal prot ein production.
