Abstract

Cardiac catheterization is usually undertaken when there is a need to confirm a suspected clinical diagnosis for a cardiac patient,and to define its anatomic and physiologic severity. The early ambulation post cardiac catheterization less than 6 hours after femoral coronary arteriography has been described and could allow patients to return to independence earlier and may also reduc~ negative consequence such as patients discomfort, anxiety and avoiding an increase in complications such as bleeding.Aim of the study: -The aim of the present was study to evaluate the outcomes of early ambulation post cardiac catheterization.Material and M”fhnds:-Setting: - This study was conducted In Coronary Care Unite at Tanta University Hospital.Sam pIe: - The sample consisted of one hundred cardiac catheterization patients who male and female had under event an elective diagnostic cardiac catheterization. The sample consisted of two groups” 50 patients each”. group I patients who received the 3 hours ambulation protocol and group II patients who received the traditional hospital 6 hours ambulation protocol.
