Abstract
In order to clarify the significance of apoptosis in breast cancer cytoplasmic expression of the apoptosis-regulating proteins (BCL-2, BOX, BCLX, BAK AND BAD) was examined by immunohistochemical analysis using specific antibodies (specificity of the antibodies was confirmed by immunoblot analysis).formalin –fixed paraffin-embedded tissue specimens from 163 females were included in the study , comprising (25)normal breast tissue and 40 normal endometrial biopsies (follicular, luteal, and menstrual phases ), 7fidroadenmas , 17fibrocysitc disease of the breast and 74 primary breast carcinomas both ducal and lobular types.
