Abstract
This easy was carried out at rheumatology and rehabilitation Department, Assiut University Hospital to know all about the gouty arthristis.
This essay included an introduction on this disease. Also it included an epidemiological study on gouty arthritis.
The aetiology and different factors which contribute in initiating gouty arthritis were of important items and explained many theories in this field.
Also the clinical picture and the complications of giuty arthritis were mentioned thoroughly.
It was essential to mention the different hypothesis of authors in the pathogenesis of the disease.
