Abstract
Sixty six patients with liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma were enrolled in this study. Forty two patients with liver cirrhosis (31 male and 11 female). Their ages ranged from 14-75 years with a mean ± SD of 44.0 ± 13.15 years. This group was classified into two groups according to presence or absence of ascites; Also classified into 3 subgroups according to child`s classification.
Twenty four patients out of 66 have had hepatocellular carcinoma (13 were males and 11 were females). These ages ranged from 30-73 years with a mean ± SD of 52.45 ± 10.56 years. This group was classified sifted into two groups according to presence or absence of ascites.
