Abstract Color duplex ultrasound is a non invasive method for the assessment of renal arteries in hypertensive patients. Although there are many obstacles in this technique as obesity, presence of bowel gases, accessory renal arteries and long examination time, still it can be used as a screening method, if available in hypertensive patients with high suspicion of renal artery stenosis and select those patients who are candidate for angiographic examination. Renal arteiography is still the gold standard for patients who will be subjected to surgical interference or interventional procedures. |
