Abstract A Cross sectional study included 1000 married non-pregnant females in the child-bearing period (15-49 years) was carried out in El-Minia district. the sample was chosen by stratified random sampling teching by the aid of softwere Epi Info ver.5. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study that El-Miniawomen in the child-bearing period and attendants to maternal and child health care centers are in need of elevation of socio-economic status. As the most affecting variables on women health status and interpregnancy spacing, in the light of these results of this study : socio-economic factors as education and occupation of women and their husbands and residence. Also, breast feeding duration is an important factor which affects the spacing beside child survival. |
