Abstract
Contains the introduction which includes two parts: the first part gives
an idea about Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs that used as analgesic
for inflammatory and degenerative forms of rheumatism (such as rheumatic
arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis and spondylarthritjs), non
articular rheumatism, acute attacks of gout, painful post’~operative and posttraumatic
inflammation and swelling painfiul inflammatory conditions in
gynecology, headache and toothache especially prior to dental operations or
workout to provide sustained analgesic effect after dental work owing to
long duration of action. A detailed discussion about the definitions, action
and indications, metabolism and pharmacokinetics, structural formula and
chemical designation, characters, of the studied drugs (Piroxicam,
Tenoxicain, Meloxicam and Lornoxicam) are given. The second part gives a
literature survey of the previous studies for the analysis of the studied drugs
including spectrophotometric, spectrofluorimetric physicochemjc~~ electro
analytical and chromatographic methods,
Contains the experimental part which includes apparatus used for
measurement and procedures for the preparation of drug and reagent
solutions. It also contains the proposed spectrophoton~etric: methods for
