Abstract
This is a prospective observational study was carried out in Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital. A total of 100 pregnant women were include in the study, between 28-34 weeks of gestation, divided into three groups:
Group I: It included 40 pregnant women between 28-34 weeks of gestation (confirmed PROM group).
Group II: It included 40 pregnant women between 28-34 weeks of gestation (suspected PROM group).
Group III: It included 20 normal pregnant women between 28-34 weeks of gestation and was considered as (control group).
At admission, all women underwent sterile Cusco speculum examination and amniotic fluid pooling with or without Valsalva maneuver was noted.
