Abstract the present thesis is devoted to the study of the study of the flow of an incompressible viscous and electrically conducting fluid as well as the heat transfer about aporous rotating disk in the presence of an axial magnetic filed . the governing equation of motion in terms of cylindrical polar coordinates are reduced to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations by similarity transformations and then solved numerically by using the finite difference method . the obtained solutions are valid for a wide range of magnetic field strengths and suction (injection) velocities. |
