Abstract Diabetic nephropathy is one of the complications of diabetes mellitus which lead to end-stage renal disease. One of mediators implicated in the development of DN is leptin. Measurement of serum leptin and its study in type 2 diabetic patient with nephropathy. This study included 75 known type 2 diabetic patients and tendency objects as a control group. All members of study were subjected to: * Through history and clinical examination including funds examination and BMI. * Laboratory investigation included fasting blood sugar, postprandial blood sugar HBAlc, serum creatinine clearance, serum leptin, serum insulin, and microalbuminuria. * Imaging technique included conventional ultrasound. |
