Abstract This thesis aims to study the relative efficiency of the surface treatments of bags with each of DDT and malathion in the protection of stored foodstuffs. This relative efficiency is also investigated under laboratory conditions. Two types of bags are tested i.e. jute bags for storage of grains and cotton bags for flour storage. The dipping technique is used as a method of application. Test insects are reared under constant laboratory conditions. |
