Abstract A reciprocal recurrent selection experiment involving crosses between two groups of chickens, derived from foreign and native fowl, is conducted. A number of 3185, 675 and 837 chicks are used in the three seasons respectively. The characters studied are: body weight at hatch, 4, 8 and 12 weeks viability during the first three weeks of life and feathering performance at 10 days of age. |
