Abstract Two types of housing i.e. controlled environment house with air conditioner and conventional house, are compared in order to study the effect of temperature and humidity on broiler performance under Bahrain conditions. A total of 200 ten day old broiler chicks from a crossbred of white plymouth rock males and cornish females are used in this experiment. During the experimental period, ambient air temperature and humidity of controlled environment and conventional houses are 83 and 91 F while relative humidity is 76 and 81% respectively. At eight weeks of age edible and non-edible weights are recorded. |
