Abstract Physicochemical, chemical and microbiological changes taking place under waterlogging are studied in clay-loam, sandy and calcareous soils representing different soil types encountered in A.R.E. the role played by organic matter is studied in combination with two of the most important fertilizers extensively used for paddy and most field crops namely Ca-superphosphate and ammonium sulfate. Moreover, the effect of moisture level on physicochemical, chemical and microbiological properties of alkali soil amended with elemental sulfur, organic matter and rock phosphate is investigated. |
