Abstract The Objective Of This Study Is To Investigate The Seasonal Abundance Of The Citrus Wax Scale, Ceroplastes Floridensis ( Comst. ) On Citrus Trees. The Response Of Nymphs And Adult Females Of This Insect To Certain Insecticides Under Laboratory Conditions Is Also Studied. The Present Work Is Also Directed To Study The Bioefficiency Of Certain Insecticides Against C. Floridensis Under Field Conditions. Two Orchards Of Citrus Trees In Zatelkom, Giza Governorate Are Carefully Observed Through The Course Of The Present Work. Trees Are About 20 Years Old, And 2-2. 5 M. High. The First Field Is An Archard Of Mandarins Trees, Citrus Reticulate ( Blancer ) In An Area Of About 3 Fed. While The Second Is An Orchard Of Grape Fruit Trees Citrus Paradisi ( Macf. ) Of 5 Fed. Both Orchards Are Out Of Any Chemical Exposure Three Years Before And Within The Period Of The Study. |
