Abstract

This study is conducted to investigate the possibility of using some waste products to serve either as energy source or as plant protein source in poultry feeding. The waste products used are mango seed kernels and tomato seed meal. Both extraction and testing treatments of mongo seed kernels are applied in order to increase its ME at digestibility of E.M.S.K. ration is higher than that of T.M.S.K. And this is reflected on their metabolizable energy values cousing the ME of E.M.S.K. To be higher than that of T.M.S.K. ( 2.831, 2.75 kcal / g) the extraction of tomato seed produces a meal having higher content of protein (35.9%) having the gross protein value of 76 which is higher than that of cottonseed meal (64%).
