Abstract This investigation is designed to study the genetic and phenotypic parameters of some quantitative characters to estimate the genetic correlated response for some important traits and the possibilities of improving these traits through solution of other traits. Parental birds are hatched, brooded and reared till 20 weeks of age. Body weight and body measurements (comb length, wattle length, keel length and shank length) are recorded for each sex separately. Age at sexual maturity, egg production traits (weight of first egg and number and weight of egg production during the first 90 days of production) are measured. Phenotypic correlation between the previous traits is estimated. |
