Abstract This investigation is planned to study the fungi which cause mango fruit rot. Some factors affecting mango fruits during storage are also investigated to define the fungi causing fruit rot and the chemical trials for its control. The effect of the disease on the quality and chemical components of the fruits during storage is also studied. The rate of infection on mango fruits with the three tested fungi increases by increasing the storage period. B. Theobromae grow well on mango extract medium. B. Theobromae show high activity in producing amylase enzyme as compared with P. Versicolor and G. Candidum. |
