Abstract The present work aims to investigate isolation and identification of some viruses infecting tomato plants under field conditions at different regions in Egypt. The different properties of the isolated viruses such as physical properties, host range and mode of transmission. The effect of single and mixed infection with the isolated viruses on some morphological characters of infected tomato plants. The results obtained show that single infection with any of the isolated viruses significantly, reduces the height of tomato plants specially those infected with TYLCV. |
