Abstract

Recently, 3D scanning modeling, and visualization of real objects have recieved a significant attention in computer vision and computer graphics research fields. The capacity to create, display, manipulates and transmits a high resolution 3D digital representation of an exististing object’s shaps and appearance can play a significant role in the area of virtual heritage, medical simulations, animation, GIS,and virtual reality.
The 3D mesh models are used to describe the 3D objects. Among various representation tools, triangular mesches provide an effective means to represent 3D mesh models. Most applications demand compact storage, fast transmission and efficient processing of 3D models. The modeling difficultues of these 3D complex objects are due to many cause, such as; their shape, typically way more articulated than that of mechanical objects; their size, which may not be small.
