Reviewing the literature,it was found out that the social side hasn’t been investigated and studied in adegree that matches its importance and sig-nificance.
This encourages the researcher to study ”the social Education” as it is re-lated with the deve lop ment of this side; as it is in Islam, based on the two main sources: The Holly Quraan and suna, and the human thought.
Thus, the main question is”what are the theoretical and the practicial pre -requisities that social education in Islam can be built in their lights? ”
from this main question, there are sub-questions:
(1)What is the concept of social education and its being in social thought?
(2)What are the pre-requisities of social dimension in Islam?
(3)What are the objectives of social education in Islam?
(4)What are the fields included in social education in Islam?
(5)What are the most important institutions and educational media that are in-terested in can ying out social education?
(6)How can some social cases and problems be faced in the the light of social education study in Islam?
The study aimed at revealing the pre-requisities the philosophy of social education must be built in their lights.
To deal with this study, the researcher used ”El-Fequh osoul” curriculum this curriculum is the one useclin these studies. it depends on Quraan and sun-na.
To answer the ques tions of the study, the following procedures have been followed:
Chapter two deals with social education in social thought . it shaws the relation amang individualism, group and education.

In this chapter and after consulting dictionaries, social education is de-fined as it is all kinds of activities that aim at developing the individual’s abil-ities and his attitudes and all social behaviour that has a positive relation in the society in which we live; so as to be able to live agood life in this society. This implies acquiring society dimension and developing the individual’s so-cial skills to be able to understand the society and to contribute effectively in its activity and responsibility.
In chapter three, the study revealed that Islam takes care of social side as one of the important sides of the human personality. this has been discussed in three fields: belief, worships and dealings.
In this chapter, the researcher has pointed out the conceptual side that represents agroup of rules and moral judgments that organize people relations.
Chapter four dealt with the abjectives of sacial education in Islam; with brief review of the objectives of Islamic education and social education in de-tails as it is a branch of the general objectives of Islamic education.
The study concludes general objective of social education in Islam. it is:
”developing social personality through acquiring social dimension by the individual and enhancing his social skills and social virtues to be able to un-derstand the society and good social treatment with others,,:
Analysizing these objectives, there are numbers of dimensions that can formulate the practicial fields for these objectives.
These dimensions are the content that reflects the social Islamic form. This was dealt with in chapter five [fields of social education in Islam]. they are represented in four main fields:
- Social values, criteria, positions and roles.
- Social responsibility.

- Social relations
- Social change.
Social education is concerned with developing these dimensians in in-dividuals. this is through agroup of social institutions and media. this is shown in chapter six as it concentrates on five institutions and media. they
are:
-Family - Educational institutions
-Mosque
-Peer friends
- Communication media.
The study ends with an end present,s the modern human reality.
Some cases and challenges ane brought into light by the present study in the field of social education it has a relation with the modern social present
condition.
These includes: adjustment case and social interaction, terriorism, pov-
erty, unemplayment, and some social family cases.
The researcher presents a brief descniption for the dimensions of these
cases and how they can be faced.
